“I really love that you haven’t lost your

I love that about you.”

- Kris Wilson .

“I just feel like…

I’m constantly investigating, like: this world is going to show me-is showing me that I’m going to find, and am finding beautiful things when I look for them with all of the curiosity of my ten-year-old self. She couldn’t imagine seeing a world that can be better and not starting to move like: it should be that way!”

- Naire Poole

childlike sense of wonder.

I can’t see the world any other way…

Described as versatile, chameleon-like, and magnetic, Naire is a Virginian-born, multi-faceted artist. The “lucky fool” has a penchant for diving into new roles, ideas, and concepts with a sense of care freedom and tenacity. The actor, director, teaching artist, costume designer, writer, and activist charts their path in the context of their world, learning and growing to serve her communities and her creative vision.

“Lately? Naire’s experience has been…”

at Shakespeare & Company

“…unleashing play, joy, and laughter. Her experience has been singing in harmonies, cracking a whip with precision, juggling with fear in her eyes, detaining a man via the lowest squats she can manage, changing her costumes 9 times, and walking away with the lessons:

  • fear isn’t a productive filter through which to navigate. It is however, great fuel for incompetence during that navigation.

  • everyone sees two stories; the story being told and the story between the people telling the story.

  • I am not my experiences. I am the one who lived them. ”

The Comedy of Errors

“…Poole’s scene stealing officer”

-Times Union 2024

at Shakespeare & Company

“…reaching for family, in the middle of every reason to turn away. Their experience has been breaking champagne flutes, growling from their predatory throat, handshakes, breathing through dropped lines, being betrayed, hugging their betrayer, and walking away with the lessons:

  • Anger can be a compassion to the self.

  • Compromise can be an effective persuasion.

  • It may not be kind to drag others down when I’m low, but it can feel very gratifying.

  • immediate gratification can be longstanding misery. ”

Plays in Progress

“And beyond her own experience…”

After being invited by co-founder, JāQuan Malik Jones to get involved, Naire joined The Billiards Canvas Inc. The group is advocating for creative opportunities in the state of Virginia, highlighting current artists and their work, and using the talents of its core artists to pursue its own creative projects. While Billiards is advocating for change in Virginia, it is inspiring work wherever its artists are.

“…being able to stick to something is just making the choice to do so…”
